At frist glance, you wouldn't get the message of this quote form Anthony Burgess. But he is making sense because people believe that end of the world is just about to happen. We can never tell when, but people believe that it will happen soon. But Burgess believes that because of our attitude and perspective in life, we are all experiencing the end of us.
